A little about me. I am a proud Novocastrian, who has lived in Newcastle all my life (except for travel). I have been a parent for 27 years. A single parent for 16 of those.

I operated a private before and after school care business for over 17 years, ran playgroups and was vice president of our schools P&C for 10yrs. I helped implement the Rainbow readers through The family action centre at UN. I am godparent to 10 children (some are now parents themselves!).

Work ethic – I have a policy to always spend 10% of my working hours not for profit-I volunteer several hours a week counselling for the Salvation Army and I have been volunteering for Primary Ethics in our primary schools since its instigation in 2010, originally as a coordinator and now a teacher.

I am spiritual, but I am not religious. I am a level 2 reiki practitioner, and try to meditate every day.

I have a genuine and natural affinity to children and they easily warm to me.

Adults seem to also feel very comfortable with me and my practice is in my home which is a comfortable, non-pretentious, old Victorian terrace.

I have a lovely fairy garden that the children are welcome to wander through and discover thoughout our counselling sessions
